Calhoun Is Doak Walker Semifinalist

Brian Calhoun, a junior running back with the Wisconsin football team, is one of 10 semifinalists for the Doak Walker Award (nation's best running back), the SMU Athletic Forum announced Friday.
Calhoun, who leads the nation with a school-record 22 total touchdowns (20 rushing and two receiving), is one of only two players in Big Ten history with at least 1,000 yards rushing (he has 1,274) and at least 500 yards receiving (he has 556).
The other semifinalists are: Reggie Bush (USC), Maurice Drew (UCLA), Jerome Harrison (Washington State), Kenny Irons (Auburn), Laurence Maroney (Minnesota), DonTrell Moore (New Mexico), LenDale White (USC), DeAngelo Williams (Memphis) and Albert Young (Iowa).
