Thomas, Pociask Earn Academic Accolades

Joe Thomas, a junior offensive tackle, and Jason Pociask, a senior tight end, both with the Badger football team, have been named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District 5 team, the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced.
Thomas and Pociask will advance to the national ballot where they will vie for spots on the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America team, also selected by members of CoSIDA.
Thomas is a business major who has started 23 straight games for the Badgers. Pociask, a kinesiology major, has started 10 games this season. Thomas is a two-time Academic All-Big Ten choice, while Pociask is a three-time Academic All-Big Ten selection.
