Calhoun Named MVP at Senior Banquet

University of Wisconsin junior running back Brian Calhoun was named team MVP as the football team celebrated its annual senior banquet at the Marriott West Hotel Friday night.
Calhoun, who this season became UW's first 1,000-yard rusher and 500-yard receiver, was selected by his teammates for the Jimmy Demetral Most Valuable Player Award. The other awards and their winners are as follows:
Scout Team Offense Player of the Year: Dion Foster
Scout Team Defense Player of the Year: Terrance Jamison
Rookie of the Year: Matthew Shaughnessy
Special Teams Award: Brandon Williams
Ivan B. Williamson Scholastic Award: Jason Pociask
Tom Wiesner Award: Joe Stellmacher
Jay Seiler Coaches' Appreciation Award: Joe Monty
Wayne Souza Coaches' Appreciation Award: Jonathan Orr and Jason Palermo
The Captains' Cup: Wayne Esser
The Capital Times writer and Badger radio analyst Mike Lucas served as the master of ceremonies.
