Randle El Suspension Modified By Appeals Committee

The Appeals Committee of the University of Wisconsin's Student-Athlete Discipline Policy modified the Saturday, Dec. 17, suspension of football player Marcus Randle El for a violation of the athletic department's conduct code.
Walter Dickey, chair of the Appeals Committee and also chair of the institution 's Athletic Board, made the announcement Tuesday.
Randle El can return to competition and practice beginning Monday, Dec. 26, pending additional information that might cause the Appeals Committee to re-evaluate his situation.
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) protects any additional information regarding disciplinary actions toward a student.
