Stanley Violates Student-Athlete Discipline Policy
December 21, 2005 | Football
Booker Stanley, a member of the Wisconsin football team, has been suspended from his team after violating the University of Wisconsin's Student-Athlete Discipline Policy Wednesday.
Stanley is immediately suspended from competition and practice and will need to decide if he wishes to appeal the decision. Should Stanley pursue an appeal, the results of that process will be announced when it is completed.
If Stanley does not pursue an appeal, the suspension from competition and games will continue until any charges have been addressed by the legal system and/or any applicable university or departmental disciplinary process.
During the suspension, Stanley will remain on official squad lists and may continue to receive support service in the sports medicine facility, the academic support center and the weight training room.
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) protects any additional information regarding disciplinary actions toward a student.
