Capital One Bowl Diary: Day 5

Each day uwbadgers.com will describe the events of the day for the University of Wisconsin football team, which is playing Auburn in the Capital One Bowl on Jan 2. Today, read all about the fifth day of the nine-day trip:
While most of the team was still sleeping, members of the bowl party left at 6:45 a.m. to head to Disney World, where they spent the day at either Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom or MGM. The party also had the choice to go to SeaWorld.
The players awoke a few hours later to a pleasant surprise: head coach Barry Alvarez canceled practice! So, following a brief meeting, the team went to Universal Studios a bit earlier than planned.
Six players'TE Owen Daniels, OL Joe Thomas, FB Chris Pressley, DL Jason Chapman, DB Levonne Rowan and LS Steven Johnson'got to star for the media at the Islands of Adventure. As they arrived, the six Badgers were escorted from the parking lot all the way through the park to a private entrance to the Incredible Hulk ride.
There, they got to ride'not once, but twice'in the front car as they media filmed them. Afterward, three players were interviewed about the ride as well as their experience thus far in Orlando.
It turned out to be a good thing that the players were taken to the front of the line, as the Hulk rollercoaster, as with most of the other rides at the park, had a very long wait (Hulk was nearly two hours!).
As the players exited Islands of Adventures (one of two theme parks at Universal), they walked through CityWalk, an area with a movie theater, shops and restaurants (including NBA City and Hard Rock Cafe). Some did a little shopping; who can resist buying a souvenir from the Hard Rock'
Following its return to the hotel, the team was free for the rest of the evening.
Also during the day was the Capital One Bowl press conference at the Marriott, the media's official hotel, in downtown Orlando. Coaches Alvarez, Bielema and Chryst, as well as RB Brian Calhoun and LB Mark Zalewski, attended and answered questions for half-an-hour, then the Auburn coaches and players did the same.
