The Badger women's basketball team will be making two appearances at the DeForest Area Middle School from 2:30-3:10 today and Thursday as part of the DeForest Day Promotion which honors UW senior forward Kjersten Bakke.

In addition to the team-led discussion, the middle school band will play "On Wisconsin" to open the program, and the middle school teachers will get into the act by playing a shooting game of 'B-u-c-k-y' (aka horse) with the women's basketball players.
The event is sponsored by the UW Athletics program. Designated days have also included Mt. Horeb Day with freshman Brittany Cannon featured, and Oregon Day where coach Lisa Stone and assistant coach Donna Freitag went to school.
The players attending today's assembly include Kjersten Bakke, Brittany Cannon, Shari Welton, Jolene Anderson, Chris Spencer. On Thursday the following UW players will attend: Kjersten Bakke, Caitlin Gibson, Ashley Josephson, Janese Banks, Jolene Anderson, and Shari Welton,
The women's team wraps up the regular season this Sunday at 7 p.m. when Purdue visits the Kohl Center. Tickets for that game are available in advance or general admission at the door for $7 for adults, and $3 for seniors and youth.
