Former Badger Adam Mania Wins Title

Former University of Wisconsin swimmer Adam Mania won the 100-meter backstroke at the 2006 USA Swimming Spring Championships Friday at Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center.
Mania's winning time of 55.24 qualified him for the Olympic Trials. He made the finals by placing first (55.56) in the preliminary round. The five-day event is held in long course meters.
The 2006 USA Spring Championships conclude tomorrow after five days of competition.
