
Men's Cross Country Team Announces Schedule

The 2005 NCAA Champion Wisconsin men's cross country team will compete in seven events next fall, including the Big Ten championship in Bloomington, Ind., on Oct. 29. Included among the Badgers' four races prior to the start of the championship season is an appearance in the Jim Drews Invitational in La Crosse, Wis., on Oct. 14.
UW opens the season on Sept. 9 at the Indiana State Invitational in Terre Haute, also the site of the 2006 NCAA Championship. That is followed by the prestigious Roy Griak Invitational in Minneapolis on Sept. 23 and the Notre Dame Invitational on Sept 29. The Jim Drews meet on Oct. 14 wraps up the Badgers' preparation for the championship season.
The Badgers will attempt to win their eight consecutive Big Ten title on Oct. 29 in Bloomington. Following the Big Ten meet, UW will travel to Bowling Green, Ohio, on Nov. 11 for the Great Lakes Regional. On Nov. 20, the Badgers will attempt to defend their national title at the 2006 NCAA Championship in Terre Haute, Ind.
