Mania Wins Second Title at Spring Championships

Former University of Wisconsin swimmer Adam Mania won the 200-meter IM at the 2006 USA Swimming Spring Championships Saturday at Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center.
Mania's time of 2:04.02, which qualified him for the Olympic Trials, was almost a full second faster than second-place Istva Bathazi (2:04.95). Mania cruised to victory in the preliminary round with a time of 2:05.78, two seconds faster than the next swimmer.
On Friday night, Mania won the 100-yard backstroke, his other title of the five-day, long course meter event.
