University Ridge Golf Course Opens for Season Today

University Ridge Golf Course will open for the season today at 10 a.m. Tee times can be reserved up to 14 days in advance by calling (608) 845-7700 or online at www.universityridge.com .
The par-72 Robert Trent Jones-designed 18-hole course has received numerous awards since opening in 1991. University Ridge was ranked third in Golf Digest's Best New Public Golf Courses. University Ridge in 1992, and is ranked No. 8 in Golf Week's Top College Golf Courses.
In 2005 and 2006, University Ridge was ranked the fifth best course in the state by Golf Digest. University Ridge has been ranked one of the top 10 courses in the state of Wisconsin for 14 consecutive years.
University Ridge also offers any type of golf instruction to meet your needs. Individual or group instruction may be arranged any day of the week or arrange a six-week class for your staff members. In the merchandise area, University Ridge Golf Shop was voted one of "America's 100 Best Golf Shops" by Golf Shop Operations magazine for 2005. This was the 10th time in 15 years that University Ridge has earned this honor. It is the only golf shop in Wisconsin to receive this honor.
The University Ridge Golf Course located at 9002 County Road PD, Verona, Wis., offers a spectacular view of the rolling terrain as well as 6,888 yards of championship challenge. The course features a fairly wide-open front nine followed by an undulating back nine that offers holes cut into extremely deep woods.
