She was the top Cardinal finisher placing third with a 72-79 '151 in the 2005-06 WIAA Division I finals. Her team was second in the 2004 event and Hinners was third individually with a 74-76'150. She was second at the Big eight Conference tournament in fall of 2005. She has participated in a number of junior tournaments winning the Paganica Invitational in 2005.
A first team Academic All-State honoree, she has maintained a perfect 4.0 cumulative grade point average during high school. She was the winner in the inaugural PowerBilt NGSGCA Award by the National Golf Coaches Association, a national honor which recognized 30 total players (17 boys and 13 girls) for their playing ability, academics, citizenship, and extra-curricular activities.
'Heidi will be a tremendous addition to our program, ' Coach Oehrlein said. 'Through her commitment and dedication, she has proven herself to be successful at everything she attempts. We look forward to working with her.'
Hinners joins a freshmen class that includes early signees Kelsey Verbeten a senior at Preble High School in Green Bay, Wis.; and Beth Weinstein who joins the Badgers from Highland Park High School in Highland Park, Ill.
