Pressley Sustains Leg Injury
August 21, 2006 | Football
Chris Pressley, junior fullback with the Wisconsin football team, sustained a lower leg injury at the Badgers' Monday morning practice that will keep him from playing for most, if not all, of the 2006 season.
'I'm disappointed for Chris because I know he could really have helped our team this season and I know he was looking forward to that, ' head coach Bret Bielema said. 'He has the support of everyone in our football program as he rehabilitates his injury. He played as a true freshman, so he fortunately has a redshirt season to work with if necessary.'
Pressley, a native of Woodbury, N.J., has appeared in 17 games (three starts) as a Badger. He has rushed for 41 yards on 14 carries.
