
Badgers Currently in Sixth Place at Lady Northern

The Wisconsin women's golf team is currently in sixth place with a 611 after two rounds at the Lady Northern Invitational at Forest Akers West Golf Course in East Lansing, Mich.
The Badgers shot a 307 and 304 in the first and second rounds, respectively, and are trailing the leader, Michigan State, by 14 strokes.
Junior Katie Elliott (Madison, Wis.) shot a 74 in the first round, and a 75 in the second and is currently in eighth place with a 149.
After shooting a five-over par 77 in the first round, sophomore Jeana Dahl (Fargo, N.D.) shot a 74 in the second round and is currently in a 10th place tie with a 151. Sophmore Isabel Alvarez (Gijon, Spain) is tied for 31st place as she shot a 76-79-155.
Kelsey Verbeten (Green Bay, Wis.) has a total score of 157 (81-76) and is currently tied for 38th. Rounding out the scoring for UW was freshman Heather Herrick (Hartland, Wis.) and senior Jill Ries (Middleton, Wis.). Herrick is tied for 46th place with her total score of 159 (80-79) while Ries sits in 69th place with a 168 after she shot an 88 in the first round and an 80 in the second.
