
Reineke, Wack Named Academic All-District

Taylor Reineke and Jocelyn Wack, members of the University of Wisconsin volleyball team, have been named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District 5 Second team by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Reineke moves up from her third-team selection last season while Wack earns her first all-district honor.
In order to be named to the academic team, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or better (on a 4.00 scale), be a starter or important reserve and have legitimate athletic credentials.
Reineke, a 6-3 middle blocker from Naperville, Ill., has a 3.29 GPA in human development and family studies. She is a 2005 and 2006 All-Big Ten selection and was named to the 2007 Preseason All-Big Ten team. Reineke leads the Badgers with 1.54 blocks per game and also has a team-best hitting percentage of .342. She ranks third on the team with 2.51 kills per game, having recorded double-figure kills in the last seven consecutive matches. Reineke is a three-time member of the Academic All-Big Ten team.
Wack, a 5-11 libero from Salem, Wis., has a 3.32 GPA in rehabilitation psychology. She is the NCAA record holder for consecutive matches with 10-or-more digs at 80. Wack leads the team and ranks fifth in the Big Ten with 4.68 digs per game, having recorded double-figure digs in 23 or 25 matches this season. She is a three-time all-tournament honoree and a three-time Academic All-Big Ten selection.
