Rogers Signs with Denver
December 19, 2007 | Football
Former Wisconsin safety Roderick Rogers was signed by the NFL's Denver Broncos from their practice squad Tuesday. Rogers, a two-time All-Big Ten selection, joined the Broncos as a free agent on May 2, 2007.
Since May, Rogers was a member of Denver's practice squad, and on Tuesday, he was moved up after the Broncos placed safety Nick Ferguson on the injured reserve, while waiving punter Todd Sauerbrun and safety Marviel Underwood.
With these roster changes, the Broncos were able to move Rogers up from the practice squad for the team's final two games of the season at San Diego and against Minnesota.
