Former Badger Sheila Shaw is now in her third of training with the U.S. National Women's Volleyball team and you can read all about how her training is going in this id=1539"> --> journal entry .
The middle blocker from Muskego, Wis., began training on March 15 in Colorado Springs, Colo. Since that time, the team played four matches in a college tournament near Denver and won all but one set with matches against Colorado, Oregon, Western Nebraska Community College and Colorado State.
Shaw, a 6-1 middle blocker, completed her Badger career ranked among the school career leaders in several categories. She tallied 1,313 kills for sixth most in school history while hitting .308 for third best. Shaw compiled 426 block assists and 489 total blocks for sixth place in both categories. She added 118 aces and 1,707 total points in 435 games and 125 matches. As a senior in 2005, she led the Badgers with a .324 attack percentage and 1.48 blocks per game.
