
Elliott Competes in Summer Tournament

Wisconsin women's golfer Katie Elliott finished tied for 59th place (76-75-75 - 226 (+10)) this past weekend while competing in the Aurora Health Care Championships at Geneva National Golf Club in Lake Geneva.
The Madison, Wis., native shot a 38 on both the front and back nine to finish the first round with a 4-over par 76. In the tournament's second round Elliott shot a 3-over par 75 giving her a total 151 (+7), enough to make the cut and be tied for 65th place entering the final day.
In final round play which was halted twice due to stormy skies and lightning, Elliott tied her first round score of 75. On the front nine Elliott recorded six pars and one birdie. On the first hole of the back nine Elliott again birdied before shooting par the next three holes. She finished the tournament by shooting a birdie on the final hole to finish the tournament with a 10-over par 226.
Elliott, who will be a senior for Badgers this fall, earned All-Big Ten honors this season while leading the Badgers with a 75.24 stroke average.
