
Yoo signs national letter of intent to attend Wisconsin

Madison, Wis. - Kris Yoo of Hoffman Estates, Ill., signed a National Letter of Intent on Thursday, Nov. 12 to attend the University of Wisconsin and join the women’s golf team.
Yoo, who attends Conant High School, is a two-time Illinois Class AA State High School Individual Champion, winning the title in 2008 and 2009. She was victorious in playoffs both years.
In 2009, Yoo shot rounds of 73-72 and won on the first hole of sudden death. In 2008, she shot 72-74 and also won on the first extra hole.
She also captured the 2009 AJGA McArthur Towel and Sports Future Legends winning in a playoff. Yoo fired rounds of 77-76-73 at the Legends of Bergamont GC in Oregon, Wisconsin.
Head Coach Todd Oehrlein was excited by Yoo’s commitment. "Kris brings a steady game to our program. Her ability to win in big events is an asset that will make her a valuable team member."
