Memphis, Tenn. – Amidst rainy and windy conditions that caused multiple delays in play, the Badgers finished the Memphis Intercollegiate at the Colonial Club in Memphis, Tenn., carding a 312-302-316--930 for 14th place.
South Alabama won the event for the second consecutive year, posting a 14-over par 293-297-288—878, defeating Akron by seven strokes. Missouri (892) finish third, followed by Memphis (894). Arkansas – Little Rock (896) finished in fifth place.
Despite the poor weather conditions, South Alabama’s Jack Hiluta was under par to claim individual honors, shooting a 7-under par 69-72-68—209, to win the event by five strokes.
Wisconsin was led by Stephane Dubois, who finished in 37th place, carding a 78-74-74—226.
Christopher Meyer tied for 50th with a 230 and Michael Sorenson tied for 63rd with a 235.
Struggling with the poor conditions, especially in Tuesday’s round, were Thomas Welk and Anthony Aicher. Welk tied for 72nd with a 241, and Aicher shot a 246 to tie for 78th place.
This event concludes the 2010 fall schedule for the men’s golf team.
