Badgers finish fifth at Johnie Imes Invitational

Madison, Wis. -- The Wisconsin Badgers women’s golf team finished fifth at the Johnie Imes Invitational, held at the Club at Old Hawthorne in Columbia, Mo. The Badgers were 31 strokes off the pace shooting a 297-304-294—895. Oklahoma State won the tournament handily by 14 strokes, finishing with a 1-under-par 863. Colorado and Oklahoma were tied for second place after shooting a 878. Florida International followed in with 885.
Oklahoma State’s Victoria Park and Courtney McKim tied for individual medalist honors, each shooting a 4-under par 212.
Lindsay Danielson led the Badgers, shooting a 72-75-72—219 to finish in eighth place. Her 54-hole total was one off her career best 218 set at the Badger Invitational.
Alyssa Elliot also had a strong showing, recording a 77-74-70—221, finishing tied for 12th. Her third round score of 70 sets a new career best 18-hole-score, and her 54-hole-score of 221 marks a new season low.
Jessie Gerry and Kris Yoo recorded identical scores, each scoring a 74-78-76—228. The two tied for 31st. For Yoo the score tied her previous 54-hole best. Additionally, Carly Werwie shot a 236 to finish tied for 58th.
The Badgers next travel to the Lady Northern Invitational at Lake Shore Country Club in Evanston, Ill. on Oct. 11-12.
