San Antonio, Tex. – After one round of the 54-hole Alamo Invitational, Wisconsin is in 10th place, shooting a 307 to finish 16 shots off the lead. Colorado leads with a 3-over-par 291. TCU is three strokes behind, followed by Texas A&M at 296 and Tulane (297) in fourth.
Colorado’s Emily Talley and TCU’s Brooke Beeler are tied for the individual lead after shooting a 5-under-par 67 in the first round. They are currently the only two players under par.
Wisconsin is led by Alexis Nelson, who shot a 74 to finish the day tied in 10th place. Carly Werwie and Kris Yoo are each tied for 36th with each posting a 77 in the first round. Lindsay Danielson and Alyssa Elliott both shot a 79 in the first round to tie for 54th place.
The Alamo Invitational marks the final event of the Badgers’ fall schedule. Play continues with 18 holes on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday.
