“It was a good chance for a lot of our players to go on the court and get some experience and that’s what we’re looking for here early in the pre-conference. Players to see who’s going to step up against any competition and move up on the depth chart within their position.

“Overall, nice that they stayed steady in their play, we had some strong performances by Mary Ording, Bailey Reshel and Elle Ohlander offensively. Kim Kuzma only played two sets but came up with double-digit digs, so she anchored our passing game defense then.

“I think the most important thing here is getting all of the players a chance to get on the court and work out the jitters so that when they are asked to go in in a starting role or substituting role that they’re ready.
