TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Wisconsin freshman Cassandra Darrah suffered her first loss of the season as Utah rallied for a 3-2 win on Sunday at the Big Ten/Mountain West/ACC Tournament in Tallahassee, Fla.

The Badgers (5-4) held a 2-1 lead after five innings, but the Utes (8-12) scored once in both the sixth and seventh innings to get the win.

 Fast Facts
• Darrah suffers first loss of season
• Krueger extends hitting streak to 12 games
• Badgers lead 2-1 after five but Utah rallies

Darrah drops to 3-1 with the loss. She struck out three walking giving up eight hits and seven walks over six and one-third innings of work. Two of the three runs she gave up were earned.

Tied at 2-2 in the seventh, Cheyella Myers led off with a walk for the Utes. Tia Palauni was then walked for the fourth time in the game before pinch hitter Hannah Clements reached on an infield single to load the bases. The Badgers were able to get one out as Stephanie Peace fielded a grounder and got the force out at the plate.

Unfortunately, Brooke Olson followed with a grounder that snuck through the legs of Peace to allow the winning run to score.

Before the Utes scored the winning run, the Badgers had a chance to take the lead in the top of the inning as Jennifer Krueger singled with two outs to push her hitting streak to 12 games. The streak is now tied for the sixth-longest in school history.

Krueger then stole second before Mary Massei was intentionally walked. Peace had a chance to move across the go-ahead run but flied out to left field to end the inning.
Wisconsin got out to an early lead in the top of the second inning.

With one out, Kendall Grimm laced a shot to the gap in right-center field. It was going to be a close play at third, but the relay throw hit Grimm as she slid resulting in her safely reaching the bag. After Ashley Hanewich was hit by a pitch, Darrah attempted a squeeze bunt. She didn't make contact but the pitch got away from the catcher, Olson, enabling Grimm to race home for the game's first run.

Utah had an answer though, tying the game in the bottom of the inning.

Olson drew a one-out walk. After a flyout, Kelsi Hoopiiaina blooped a single into right field. Utah got aggressive on the basepaths as Olson was waved home from first. The relay throw was a little high and a little late as Olson slid in safely under the tag of catcher Maggie Strange.

After two scoreless innings passed, Wisconsin retook the lead in the top of the fifth.

With one out, Whitney Massey pinch hit for Michelle Mueller and drew a walk. Mueller re-entered to run at first and stole second before Krueger struck out. Massei stepped in and laced a single up the middle. Mueller was able to score from second before Massei was thrown out at second as she tried to stretch the single into a double.

The Utes came back to tie the game at 2-2 in the bottom of the sixth.

Jackie Sweet led off the inning with a double. After a lineout, Whitney Holm singled through the left side to put runners on the corners. The Utes then executed a squeeze play as Sweet just got in under Strange's tag following a flip from Darrah. With runners on first and second and one out, Utah tried a delayed double steal but Strange was able to throw out the lead runner. After a walk, a lineout to Stephanie Peace ended the threat.

The Badgers close out tournament play against host-Florida State on Sunday afternoon. Game time is approximately at 2 p.m.
