MADISON, Wis.--Wisconsin All-American Ben Jordan will return to the Badgers wrestling room this fall as a student assistant, head coach Barry Davis announced Thursday.
“Having Ben serve as a student assistant adds another All-American to the room,” stated Davis. “Ben will work well with our middle weights.
“Ben knows what it takes to become an All-American and understands the tradition of Wisconsin wrestling.”
Jordan earned All-American status at the 2011 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships after defeating Illinois’ Conrad Polz by a 5-2 decision on the third day of competition at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Mo.
He finished the season with a career-best 28-12 record and an All-America honor at 165 lbs. Jordan completed his time as a Badger with 52-41 overall record at 157, 165 and 174 lbs.
“I am excited to continue my work with the Wisconsin wrestling team,” said Jordan. “And I look forward to working with the guys.”
