UW maintains third place at Lady Paladin

GREENVILLE, S.C. -- The Wisconsin women's golf team shot the fifth best 36-hole score in school history while maintaining third place with an 8-over-par 290-294--584 in the 54-hole Lady Paladin Invitational at the Furman University Golf Course in Greenville, S.C.
GRU Augusta was even for today and maintained its lead with a 3-under par 285-288--573 at the 6,266-yard, Par 72 course. Clemson is second at 2 over 287-291--578.
Clemson’s Ashlan Ramsey sits atop the leader board with a 5-under par 68-71--139. She is one of nine players in red numbers including Wisconsin's Kris Yoo who is tied for sixth with a 1-under 73-70--143.
Freshman Brooke Ferrell is tied for 11th at 2-over 72-74--146. Senior Alexis Nelson is tied for 20th with a 5-over par 72-77--149. Both started the day tied for 10th having shot even par in round 1.
Also competing for UW is junior Kimberly Dinh who was 1-over for today and is 8 over for the tournament with 79-73--152 to tie for 37th. Junior Aaren Ziegler is a stroke back at 9-over par with 73-80--153. Rounding out UW scoring and making her collegiate debut this weekend is freshman Aya Johnson who is tied for 48th at 10-over par with 76-78--154.
