- The Badgers won their eighth straight Big Ten match of the season, their longest conference winning streak since 2007 when they won nine straight.
- Wisconsin also won its 16th-straight set, its longest Big Ten set winning streak since 2005. The school record is 27 straight conference sets in 2001.
- UW has won its fifth-straight match by a 3-0 score.
- The Badgers recorded a season-high 15 blocks, outblocking the Hawkeyes 15.0-5.0.
- Wisconsin had six service aces in the match, which ties for third on the season high list.
- UW takes over first place in the Big Ten standings at 8-1, half a game ahead of Purdue at 7-1.
- Wisconsin improved to 8-1 at home this season.
- The Badgers have upped their blocks per set to 3.04 in Big Ten play and 2.35 overall.
Individual Notes
- Senior Dominique Thompson tied her career high with eight blocks, including five stops in the third set.
- Haleigh Nelson registered a new season high with seven blocks. The sophomore middle blocker leads the team with 76 total blocks on the season.
- Courtney Thomas logged her fifth double-double of the season, leading the team with 11 kills and 13 digs.
- Freshman Kelli Bates also recorded double-figure kills in the match with 10, her eighth match of the season with 10-or-more kills.
- Taylor Morey added 10 digs, her 18th match this season with double-figure digs.
