| BIG TEN RETURNING
The Big Ten returns 70 percent (23-of-33) of coaches' All-Big Ten first and second team or honorable mention honorees. Seven of 11 All-Big Ten first-team members return including Wisconsin's Michala Johnson.
For the fourth consecutive season, the Big Ten had at least five teams competing in the NCAA Tournament. The conference also had four WNIT participants last season.
SCORING, REBOUNDING RETURN
Wisconsin returns 11 letterwinners and three starters from last season. The Badgers also return 2012-13 starter Cassie Rochel, who redshirted last season due to a back injury.
UW returns 61.6 percent of its scoring, bringing back its leading scorer in senior Michala Johnson. The 6-3 forward averaged 16.6 points per game last season. She is also the top returning rebounder with 7.3 rebounds per game.
The Badgers also return three of its top-six scorers from last season in senior Jacki Gulczynski (7.9), junior Dakota Whyte (6.2) and junior Nicole Bauman (6.2).
Wisconsin also returning nearly 70 percent of its rebounding as Gulczynski added 6.7 boards per game last season.

Four of the Badgers' regular season contests are set to air on the Big Ten Network. All four of Wisconsin's BTN appearances are set to be aired from the Kohl Center on Dec. 28 (Michigan), Jan. 6 (Penn State), Jan. 29 (Ohio State) and Feb. 19 (Maryland).
In addition, Wisconsin's Dec. 10 game at Florida will be featured on the SEC Network. CAPTAINS SELECTED
Seniors Michala Johnson, Jacki Gulczynski and Cassie Rochel have been named captains.
Johnson and Rochel served in the same role the previous season. Rochel is back on the court after missing the 2013-14 season due to injury. UW ADDS FOUR
Wisconsin adds FOUR newcomers in 2014-15, including Cayla McMorris, the first top-100 recruit signed by Coach Bobbie Kelsey. The Badgers also add junior Rosie Gambino, a transfer from Iowa State, Avyanna Young, a transfer from Milwaukee, and freshman Roichelle Marble. BADGERS END 2013-14 AT 10-19
Wisconsin wrapped up the 2013-14 season with a 10-19 record. The win total ties for 10th on the UW season record list for fewest wins.
Wisconsin finished 11th in the Big Ten Conference at 3-13. That ties for the third fewest wins in a conference season. UW went 1-17 in 1985-86 and 2-16 in 1987-88. The Badgers also won only three Big Ten games in 1989-90 and 2012-13.
SEASON ENDS AT BIG TEN TOURNAMENT
Despite leading by 16 points with a little over 15 minutes to play, the Badgers couldn't stop a charging Minnesota, falling 74-68 in overtime in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament. Wisconsin fell to 10-20 in 20 tournament appearances.
Junior Michala Johnson picked up her seventh double-double of the season with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Seniors Morgan Paige and Taylor Wurtz wrapped up their careers with 16 and 13 points, respectively. BADGERS PLAY FIVE OT GAMES
Wisconsin played five overtime games in 2013-14, which ranks second on the UW season record list. The Badgers set the NCAA record for OT games with six in 1998-99.
Wisconsin won two straight overtime games in late December and early January, defeating Green Bay 65-61 and Illinois 76-64 in OT. In Big Ten play, the Badgers lost to then-No. 22 Nebraska 71-70 on Feb. 5 and wrapped up the regular season with a 77-73 overtime loss to Northwestern on March 2. UW lost to Minnesota 74-68 in OT in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament on March 6. LOSING EIGHT STRAIGHT
UW ended the season with eight straight loses, its longest losing streak of the season and its longest since also losing eight in a row in 1992-93. The Badgers' losing stretch began on Feb. 5 with an overtime loss to Nebraska and ended in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament.

The Badgers battled teams close during the Big Ten season but couldn't come up with the wins.
UW lost five conference games by single digits and was within three baskets with less than four minutes to play in 10 losses.
The Badgers had leads in seven of their last eight games, including leading in the second half in three contests.

SHOOTING STRUGGLES END SEASON
Despite shooting 53.8 percent (14-of-26) from the field in the first half against Minnesota in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament, Wisconsin shot just 36.7 percent (11-of-30) in the second half and just 27.3 percent (3-of-11) in overtime. UW ended the game shooting just 41.8 percent, including just 28.6 percent (8-of-28) from 3-point range.
In their last three games, the Badgers shot just 38.1 percent (72-of-189) from the field, including 21.5 percent (14-of-65) from 3-point range.
COMPARING SEASONS
In 2013-14, the Badgers improved in several statistical categories compared to the previous season.
Wisconsin shot the best from the field since the 2010-11 season (.412) and averaged the most points since 2007-08 (65.5).

Wisconsin went 0-5 against top-25 teams last season.
UW recorded a 76-66 loss to No. 23 Michigan State on Feb. 20 and lost at No. 21 Purdue 72-54 on Feb. 23. The Badgers fell at No. 11 Penn State 78-68 on Feb. 16, lost in overtime to No. 22 Nebraska 71-70 on Feb. 5, and dropped a 70-55 decision to No. 23 Gonzaga on Dec. 10.
HITTING FROM THE LINE
For the fourth straight season, the Badgers shot better than 70 percent from the free throw line.
Wisconsin shot 73.3 percent (329-of-449) from the line, which ranks fourth on UW's season record list. The Badgers hit a school record 77 percent in 2012-13 after shooting 75.6 percent in 2011-12 and 72.7 percent in 2010-11.
It marks the first time in program history that the Badgers have shot better than 70 percent for four straight seasons.
REBOUNDING UP AND DOWN
After outrebounding Penn State, the top rebounding team in the Big Ten, 37-36 on Feb. 16, the Badgers managed just 25 rebounds against Michigan on Feb. 20, a season low.
Wisconsin improved at Purdue on Feb. 23 but was outrebounded 41-33 while outrebounding Northwestern 42-37 on March 2. The Badgers were also outrebounded by Minnesota in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament 48-36.
UW was up and down on the boards this season, averaging 37 boards per game while giving up 37.8 rebounds per game. In Big Ten play, the Badgers averaged 35.6 rebounds per game while allowing 36.8 boards per game. JOHNSON BIG TEN LEADER
Junior Michala Johnson was named a first-team All-Big Ten pick by league coaches and earned second-team honors by league media. Johnson led the Big Ten in conference-only games, shooting 56.8 percent from the field. Her percentage ranks fourth on the UW season record list in Big Ten play.
The 6-3 post averaged 17.1 points per game in Big Ten play, which ranked fifth in the conference. In all games, she led the Badgers and ranked fifth in the Big Ten with 16.6 points per game while shooting 55.1 percent, which ranked third in the conference.
She averaged the most points for a UW scorer in six seasons, going to back to 2008 when Jolene Anderson averaged 19.9 points per game in all games and 19.6 points per game in Big Ten games.
SIX NAMED ACADEMIC ALL-B1G
Six Badgers earned Academic All-Big Ten honors. Senior Morgan Paige was a three-time honoree while juniors AnnMarie Brown and Jacki Gulczynski are two-time award winners. First-time recipients were Tessa Cichy, Daria Kryuchkova and Taylor Wurtz.
DOUBLING UP
The Badgers had 20 double-doubles last season, the most double-doubles for UW since the 1999-2000 season when Wisconsin also had 20 double-doubles. Taylor Wurtz led the team with nine double-doubles while Michala Johnson added seven. Jacki Gulczynski chipped in four double-doubles.
Gulczynski has 10 double-doubles in her career, which ties for 13th on UW's all-time list.

TOUGH SCHEDULE
The Badgers had the 28th toughest schedule in the nation and the fifth toughest in the Big Ten, according to RealTimeRPI.com
Ohio State led the conference at third while Purdue ranked sixth and Penn State eighth for toughest schedules nationally. Minnesota (22nd) and Wisconsin (28th) ranked in the top 30.
UW went 0-5 against top-25 teams this season, including a 0-4 mark against Big Ten teams, playing three straight ranked teams late in the season.
THAT'S A LOT OF 3'S
Wisconsin set the UW season record by taking 555 3-point attempts (19.14 per game) last season. The previous record was 543 attempts in 2012-13.
The Badgers finished the season by making 174 treys, which ties for second on the record list. Their 6.0 makes per game ranks second.
TAKING CARE OF THE BALL
Wisconsin averaged just 14.4 giveaways per game this season, which tied for third in the Big Ten and ranked second on the UW season record list. The Badgers set a school record with just 419 turnovers this season.
But the Badgers gave up just 11.5 turnovers per game, for a turnover margin of minus 2.9, which ranked 12th in the Big Ten.
UW's margin dropped to minus 3.6 in conference-only games as the Badgers averaged 15.1 turnovers per game while opponents averaged 11.4 per game. CAREER SEASONS
Several Badgers had the best seasons of their careers in at least one statistical category in 2013-14. - Nicole Bauman shot a season best 39.3 percent (57-145) from the field and hit a season-best 38.8 percent (38-98) from 3-point range. Bauman also surpassed her freshman year total with 66 assists.
- AnnMarie Brown shot a season best 38.9 percent (7-18) from 3-point range. She also tied her season best with eight assists and upped her season best to four blocks.
- Tessa Cichy hit a season-best 50 percent from 3-point range (9-18) and 90 percent (9-10) from the free throw line. She also set a season high with seven steals.
- Jacki Gulczynski shot a season-best 36.6 percent (34-93) from 3-point range. She also surpassed her sophomore season total with 41 blocks this year while averaging a season-best 6.7 rebounds per game (195 total).
- Junior transfer Michala Johnson averaged season bests in nearly every category. She averaged bests of 16.6 points and 7.3 rebounds per game. The 6-3 post also shot season bests from the field (.551) and line (.607) while recording season bests in assists (36), blocks (27) and steals (15).
- Sophomore Dakota Whyte averaged season bests of 6.2 points and 2.6 rebounds per game. The 5-8 guard also shot a season-best 43.2 percent (76-176) from the field while recording season bests of 2.2 assists and 0.9 steals per game.
