MADISON, Wis. -- After hosting the Badger Invitational this past weekend, the Wisconsin men's golf team will enjoy another tournament in its home state, as the Badgers take part in the 54-hole Erin Hills Intercollegiate, Oct. 4-6, at Erin Hills Golf Course in Hartford, Wisconsin.
Marquette will host the tournament, which features 11 teams, including: No. 30 Colorado State, Marquette, No. 95 Miami (OH), Ole Miss, No. 15 New Mexico, Northern Illinois, No. 2 Oklahoma State, No. 58 Southern Methodist, St. John's, No. 18 UCLA and Wisconsin.
At last year's Erin Hills Intercollegiate, the Badgers placed sixth among an 11-team field that included three top 25 teams-the same amount that will compete in the 2015 edition of the tournament.
UCLA ran away with the 2014 crown, finishing at 5-under which was a whopping 12 strokes ahead of second-place SMU.
At the Badger Invitational, Wisconsin placed seventh out of 12 teams, shooting a 44-over 302-294-312=908.
Two individual competitors-Jordan Hahn and Michael Abrahamson-led the way for UW. Hahn placed second at 5-under and Abrahamson was tied for third at 1-over.
The tournament marked just the second collegiate competition for Hahn, who recorded the eighth-best score all-time at the Badger Invitational and set career-lows for 18 (68), 36 (140) and 54 (211) holes. He was just four shots off the champion.
Rivaling his teammate's impressive performance, Abrahamson registered his best tournament finish and gathered 36- (141) and 54-hole (217) career-lows.
The Badgers will tee off, Sunday, from Hole 1 at 8:30 and 8:45 a.m.
