UW teams up with iHeartMedia to broadcast women's hockey games this season
MADISON, Wis. --The Wisconsin women's hockey team will come together with iHeartMedia in Madison to broadcast 10 of the Badgers' regular-season games during the 2015-16 season.
The games will all air in the Madison area on The Mic 92.1 (WXXM-FM) with play-by-play announcing done by Reid Magnum.
The Badgers' game on Friday, Dec. 4 against defending NCAA champion Minnesota marks the first broadcast of the year, with a 7 p.m. start at LaBahn Arena.
All four of Wisconsin's regular-season matchups against Minnesota will be aired, in addition to the Badgers' home meetings with WCHA opponents Minnesota Duluth, North Dakota, St. Cloud State, and Minnesota.
iHeartMedia, formerly known as Clear Channel, owns and operates WIBA-AM, WIBA-FM, WXXM-FM, WMAD-FM, WTSO-AM and WZEE-FM. The network also broadcasts Wisconsin football, men's and women's basketball, volleyball and men's hockey.
