Junior shot an even par 72; ties for seventh

San Antonio, Texas – Brooke Ferrell carried over her impressive play from her last tournament into the Alamo Invitational, Sunday, as she shot an even par 72 to lead the Badgers at 15-over 303 tying Baylor and Oklahoma for seventh.

Florida (293) leads the rain-plagued tournament at 5-over, followed by Arkansas (+6, 294) in second and TCU (+9, 297) and Texas Tech (+9, 297) tied for third.

Heavy rain cancelled the practice round on Saturday and pushed the start of the first round back to 1 p.m., but the teams were still able to sneak in 18 holes.

Ferrell's 72 ties her for seventh. She is just three shots off the leader, Lora Assad (-3, 69) of Texas State.

Gabby Curtis shot a 1-over 73 and is tied for 12th on the player leaderboard. Nat Zeng recorded a 6-over 78, putting her in a tie for 51st.

Michelle Cheung (80) and Becky Klongland (83) rounded out Wisconsin's team scoring, as they shot 8-over and 11-over, respectively. Cheung is tied for 62nd and Klongland is knotted in 74th.

Round 2 tees off Monday morning before the 54-hole tournament wraps up on Tuesday.
