San Antonio, Texas – The Wisconsin women's golf team notched its best 54-hole score of the season at the Alamo Invitational, as the Badgers shot a 10-over 298, Tuesday, at Briggs Ranch Golf Club to bring their tournament total to a 27-over 891.

Wisconsin placed ninth at the Alamo Invitational, trailing Texas State (+26, 298-296-296=890) and Mississippi State (+25, 299-296-294=889). UW's previous season-low for an event was 894 strokes at the Windy City Collegiate Championship, Oct. 5-6.

Florida (-6, 293-286-279=858) easily took the tournament crown, outshooting the next-best squad—Arkansas (+6, 294-291-285=870)—by 12 strokes and third-place Texas Tech (+15, 297-294-288=879) by 21 strokes.
Gabby Curtis (73-72-74=219) and Brooke Ferrell (72-73-74=219) continued to pace the Badgers Tuesday, as the pair recorded an identical 2-over 74 in Round 3. They tied for 18th at 3-ove. For Curtis' it was a 54-hole score was a season-low.

Nat Zeng (+9, 78-72-75=225) tied for 38th. She was one shot behind Curtis and Ferrell in the third round, with a 3-over 75. Zeng's scorecard marked a new season-low, outdoing her previous 54-hole best by three strokes.

Michelle Cheung also scored a 3-over 75 in Round 3, which knotted her in a tie for 55th at a 12-over 80-73-75=228.

Rounding out UW's scoring was Becky Klongland (83-76-81=240) tied at 76th at 24-over.

The Badgers will not return to competition until Feb. 7-9 when the team participates in the UCF Challenge at Eagle Creek Golf Course in Orlando, Florida.
