MADISON, Wis. -- The University of Wisconsin offers a variety of Girls Hockey Camps at the home of the four-time national champion Wisconsin women's hockey program, LaBahn Arena. The camps are focused on developing the skills of hockey in an enjoyable atmosphere.
UW will host a four-day camp for athletes 13 and under June 22-26, while a camp open to high school players will take place August 3-7.
Each of the camps includes sessions on power skating, skill development and stick handling, and team concepts for both offense and defense.Â

13 & Under Camp - June 22-26
This is a hockey camp for girls with at least one year of experience. There will be instruction in the fundamentals of hockey including stickhandling, passing, shooting, skating and team play through high speed drills and regulated scrimmages in a fun environment. The camp consists of three on-ice sessions at LaBahn Arena and an off-ice session each day.

High School Camp - August 3-7
This elite camp is for girls looking to play at the next level. There will be expanded instruction in hockey skills including stickhandling, passing, shooting and skating. On-ice instruction will include high speed drills; introduce team tactics and a better understanding of the game of hockey through small area and full-ice scrimmages. Off-ice material will range from strength training to academics, the recruiting process and NCAA regulations. The camp consists of three sessions of on-ice instruction at LaBahn Arena and one session of off-ice instruction each day.
Cost: $420 per camper
