Ferrell, Curtis lead the way for Badgers at 2-over
NAPA, Calif. – Through one round at the Silverado Showdown, the Wisconsin women's golf team is tied for seventh at a 12-over 300.

Stanford (286) leads the way at 2-under, while Colorado (290) is second by four strokes at 2 over.

Knotted in third are LSU (+5, 293) and Oregon (+5, 293), followed by Louisville (+6, 294) and Pepperdine (+6, 294) which are tied for fifth.

The Badgers are even with California (+12, 300), as the Golden Bears also went for a 300 in round one.

Brooke Ferrell and Gabby Curtis each notched 2-over 74s in the opening 18 holes, which ties them for 25th on the player leaderboard.

Another pair of Wisconsin golfers—Michelle Cheung (76) and Becky Klongland (76)—also netted the identical totals. At 4-over they are tied for 46th.

Nat Zeng rounded out the Badgers' team scoring, going for a 6-over 78. She is knotted in 65th.
