Rhodes named Gatorade Wisconsin Player of the Year

Incoming freshman wins national award for second-straight season
MADISON, Wis. – Incoming Wisconsin women's soccer freshman Dani Rhodes has been named the Gatorade Wisconsin Player of the Year for the second-straight season following another standout campaign at Waukesha West High School.
A 5-foot-4 forward from Waukesha, Wisconsin, Rhodes led the Wolverines to a 12-1-2 record at the time of her selection. The state's returning Gatorade Girls Soccer Player of the Year, Rhodes scored 29 goals and tallied eight assists through 15 games.
A 2015 All-American selection by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA), Rhodes was the Wisconsin Soccer Coaches Association Player of the Year as a junior.
Also a standout on the basketball court for Waukesha West, Rhodes has maintained a 3.69 GPA in the classroom and volunteers locally on behalf of youth soccer and basketball programs.
Rhodes is one of 11 incoming freshman announced by head coach Paula Wilkins that has signed a national letter of intent and will join the Badgers this fall for the 2016 season.
