WHISTLER, British Columbia, -- The Wisconsin women's basketball team is spending a week touring British Columbia in western Canada. The team will visit Victoria, Vancouver and Whistler and play three games against college teams there.
Along the way, several Badgers will write daily blogs covering each day's activities. Up today is redshirt Michaela Crall, who writes about UW's final day in Whistler spent zipping down a mountain!Â
Today was our last full day in Canada! It was very bittersweet as we have had an indescribably amazing trip but we are ready to head home and get back to routine. We started off the morning with what proved (at least for me) to be one of the highlights of the trip: the Sasquatch Zip Line tour. It is a single zip line over two kilometers long (almost a mile and a half for those of us who don't know the conversion from metric). Most of the team was terrified and for good reason!Â

With views across Whistler and mountains beyond, at times being over 600 feet from the ground and going upwards of 60 miles per hour, this zip line is not for the faint of heart. Most of the group decided to take the (metaphorical) jump and go for it! After taking the ski lift to the top of the mountain, it was time to get hooked in, step down 4 stairs to nothing and let go. It was so amazing. The view was gorgeous and the rush was like nothing I've ever experienced.Â
Â
After that eventful morning, people scattered around to get lunch and relax by the pool for the afternoon. We had our farewell dinner at Earl's, a wonderful place to eat. We got to get all dressed up, which some of us actually enjoy! After that we roamed the village to do some souvenir shopping before we head home tomorrow.Â
Â
This trip has been a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I'm so glad this team got to travel together and become just a little closer in the process. We are so thankful to be in a situation where we can go on trips like this. Tomorrow will be a long day of bus rides and flights, but it will be bearable because of this group of amazing people. Thank you all for following us this past week!

On, Wisconsin!
