Badgers drop Big Ten match to Northwestern, 2-0

Harrison, Rhodes and Rice lead UW in shots
EVANSTON, Ill. – The Wisconsin women's soccer team fell 2-0 to the Northwestern Wildcats on Sunday afternoon at Martin Stadium.
After thirty-eight minutes of quiet play in the first half, most of which the Badgers (10-4-2 overall, 4-3-2 Big Ten) had control of possession, Northwestern broke through with a goal from McKenna Angotti. The Wildcats (8-6-2, 5-3-1) took advantage of their momentum, scoring again in the 40th minute off of a goal from Grace Orndorff, who scored off of a free kick.
UW trailed shots 14-10 in the game but the Badgers outshot the Wildcats 7-6 in the second half. Freshman Lauren Rice, sophomore Dani Rhodes and senior Becca Harrison each recorded two shots.
UW played NU close in shots on goal, trailing 6-5. Both of Rice's two shots were on net.
Senior Caitlyn Clem was in net for the Badgers and recorded four saves, while her cousin Lauren Clem was in goal on the other side of the field for Northwestern, notching five saves on the day.
