"I'm excited to announce that Julia will be part of the Wisconsin volleyball program," said head coach Kelly Sheffield. "She's a great young lady with a fantastic future, both on and off the volleyball court. She's intelligent, kind, and a quick learner.
"Julia's relatively new to the sport but has really turned into a very good player. She received really good coaching last year and her development just took off as the club season progressed. The size of her block and the amount of space she takes away from hitters is very unique. She has the potential to be a game changer with her blocking. Offensively, she can hit off of one or two feet and she can hit first or second-tempo sets. She's a player that when she gets around Kevin Schultz, our strength coach, I think has the potential to really take off."
