Sophomore honored by College Sports Information Directors of America
MADISON, Wis. – Noah Leibold has not only been a top performer on the pitch all season long for the Wisconsin men's soccer team, he's also been standing out in the classroom. The sophomore midfielder from Wiesbaden, Germany was recognized as a member of the 2017 Academic All-District Soccer Team by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) on Thursday.
Leibold earned the distinction after maintaining a 3.87 grade-point average majoring in kinesiology.
A member of the 2016 All-Big Ten Freshman Team, Leibold has started all 17 games for the Badgers this season with one goal and one assist.
Leibold has helped the Badgers to a nine-win season, which they hope to extend Friday in the semifinals of the Big Ten tournament when they face No. 1-seed Michigan at Grand Park in Westfield, Indiana. Kickoff is set for 11 a.m. (CT) live on Big Ten Network.
