Happ and Pritzl each score 18 points to lead UW to victory over UMass Lowell

MADISON, Wis. – Ethan Happ and Brevin Pritzl each poured in 18 points as the Wisconsin men's basketball team won its fourth straight game with an 82-53 win over UMass Lowell at the Kohl Center on Saturday afternoon.

Happ scored his 18 points for the Badgers (8-7, 1-1 Big Ten) in only 20 minutes of game action against the River Hawks (6-7), shooting 8-of-12 from the floor while pulling down 4 rebounds and dishing out 3 assists. The Milan, Illinois native became just the 10th Big Ten player in the last 20 years to record 1,000 career points, 700 rebounds and 200 assists with his final assist on Saturday.

Pritzl set a new career high in points while matching a career best in rebounds with 7, which was tied for the team lead. The sophomore also matched a career-best with 4 treys.

Aleem Ford recorded 10 points, marking the second-straight game he has scored in double figures and was 2-of-3 from beyond the arc. Khalil Iverson and Nate Reuvers both collected 8 points while Brad Davison added 7 points and a career-high 6 dimes.

Notables
-   Greg Gard now owns a record of 50-25, becoming the ninth UW coach to reach the milestone. Gard is the third-fastest UW coach to reach 50 wins, doing it in just 75 contests.
-   The Badgers shot 56 percent (32-for-57) from the field and went 10-for-14 at the charity stripe. UMass Lowell shot 46 percent (22-for-48) and went just 2-for-10 at the line.
-   Wisconsin has now shot over 50 percent from the field in each of the last four games.
-   UW shot 53 percent (8-for-15) from beyond the arc, marking the third time this year UW has shot better than 50 percent from 3-point land.
-   UW dominated the paint, outscoring the River Hawks 42-24.
