NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Wisconsin softball senior
Chloe Miller was selected in the 2017 National Pro Fastpitch Draft (NPF) College Draft on Monday night at Acme Feed and Seed. Miller, the No. 11 overall pick, was picked by the Akron Racers organization.
The 5-10 catcher is enjoying her finest season to date in 2017, racking up career bests with a .440 batting average, 41 runs, 55 hits, .800 slugging percentage and a .542 on-base percentage. For her career, the two-time NFCA Great Lakes All-Region selection has accumulated 203 hits, including 52 doubles, 175 RBI and 133 runs scored, to go along with a .357 career average.
Miller earned Wisconsin's second ever NFCA Player of the Week honor, as well as her first career Big Ten Player of the Week nod, after posting a .800 batting average, .842 on base percentage and 1.800 slugging percentage at the Colorado State Classic.
Miller is the second player in Wisconsin program history to be drafted in the professional league.
