Box Score MADISON, Wis. – Competing in yet another border battle, the Wisconsin women's soccer team (11-2-3 overall, 5-1-3 Big Ten) downed the Minnesota Gophers (8-7-1, 4-4-1) 3-2 on the road.
Lauren Rice scored Wisconsin's game winner in the 89th minute to give the Badgers a 3-2 win on the road.
Minnesota struck first in the fourth minute of the game, to bring the game to 1-0. In the second half
Dani Rhodes evened the game, 1-1, on Rhodes' second goal for the season.
Wisconsin built a 2-1 lead five minutes later on a goal from defender
Camryn Biegalski, her first of the season. In the 68th minute the Gophers evened the game up, 2-2.
UW outshot Minnesota 12-11, and the team was locked at 2-2 in corners.
Wisconsin has now defeated Minnesota seven matches in a row.
