Sydney Hilley named Big Ten Setter of the Week

Sophomore record back-to-back double-doubles
MADISON, Wis. – For the second time this season and the fourth time in her career, Sydney Hilley from the seventh-ranked Wisconsin volleyball team has been named the Big Ten Conference Setter of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.
Hilley set the Badgers to two wins last weekend, including a come-from-behind win over No. 12 Purdue on Friday. The 6-foot setter put up a career-high 59 assists vs. the Boilermakers while adding 10 digs. Against Indiana on Saturday, Hilley tallied 40 assists and 13 digs.
On the weekend, she averaged 12.88 assists and 2.88 digs per set. She also added four blocks against Purdue and one service aces against the Hoosiers.
Hilley has a team-best 10 double-doubles this season to bring her career total to 19.
She currently ranks first in the Big Ten and sixth nationally with 11.75 assists per set. Hilley also ranks third on the UW team with 2.25 digs per set and second with 26 service aces, averaging 0.29 per set.
No. 7 Wisconsin (18-6, 11-5 B1G) counts down the regular season with four Big Ten road matches. UW opens its first weekend road trip, taking on Ohio State (12-16, 3-13) on Friday at 6 p.m. CT from St. John Arena in Columbus, Ohio. The Badgers travel to the Xfinity Center Pavilion in College Park, Maryland, on Saturday for a 6:30 p.m. CT first serve at Maryland (17-11, 8-8).

- The Badgers moved up on place to sixth in the NCAA RPI, released Monday. Wisconsin has also played the third toughest schedule in the nation this season, according to the NCAA report.
