Wisconsin to be well-represented at USA Hockey Winter Training Camp

Five current Badgers will join three former UW standouts at camp

MADISON, Wis. – Five current Wisconsin women's hockey players will join three former Badgers at the 2018 USA Hockey Women's Winter Training Camp, Dec. 17-21 at USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth, Michigan.

Current Wisconsin women's hockey players include forwards Britta Curl, Sophia Shaver, Abby Roque and Annie Pankowski, senior defenseman Maddie Rolfes.

Former Badger greats, forwards Hilary Knight, and Brianna Decker, along with goaltender Alex Rigsby were also named to the team.

The annual training camp serves as an opportunity to help the top players prepare for upcoming international events, including the 2019 IIHF Women's World Championship.

This will be the first meeting of the U.S. National team since the American's victory in the Four Nations Cup. The roster for the Women's Winter Training Camp consists of 22 members of the championship-winning 2018 Four Nations Cup roster, as well as 22 Olympians.
