Badgers offer 16 camps this summer

MADISON, Wis. - Now is the time to sign up your daughter or son for the 2018 Wisconsin Volleyball summer camps.
The Badgers will hold 16 camps during June and July for volleyball players entering the sixth through 12th grades this fall, as well as half-day camps for youth ages four through the fifth grade. Camp registration is currently open at UWCamps.com/Volleyball.
All campers attending multi-day camps will receive a free camp t-shirt and free camp volleyball. Campers attending the One-Day camps and Team One-Day camp will receive a free camp t-shirt.

One-session camps for girls looking to become a better server will be held on July 16 and July 17. Campers will learn technique and strategy for becoming an effective and efficient server at this camp.

A "Little Badger Advanced" camp for kids who have actively been playing sports or volleyball, or have attended Little Badgers for multiple years, will be held the afternoons of June 2-3. Cost of the camp is $100.
For the beginning volleyball player, two "Little Badgers Beginner" camps, one on May 31-June 1 in the evenings, and one on June 2-3 in the mornings, will be held for girls and boys from ages four through grade four. The cost of each camp is $100.

The Overnight Team Camp from July 13-15 will address each team's specific needs and work to improve its competition level over the course of three days. Cost of the overnight camp is $375 per player for residents and $325 for commuters.
The Team One-Day Camp is designed for teams looking to raise their competition level by training against other varsity and junior varsity teams focusing on team competition. Cost of the competition camp is $75 per camper. To reserve a spot and register for the Team Camp, coaches please email badgercamps@athletics.wisc.edu directly.

Train like the Badgers
Girls entering the seventh through 12th grades may attend either Badger Camp or Badger Bring It Camp to get the "Badger" experience. Training throughout the camp will be similar to how the Badger volleyball team trains, with individual skill development and competition. Badger Camp will be held July 5-7 and Badger Bring It Camp will be held July 9-11. Cost of either camp is $395 for residents and $345 for commuters.Â
Position Camps and Serving Camps available on two separate days
For the fourth straight year, one-day camps for setters, hitters and liberos will be held on two separate days. Athletes may participate in special position camps on July 16 or July 17. Setters will be taught basic and advanced setting skills. Attackers will learn both beginner and advanced hitting techniques in addition to being introduced to position-specific training for outside, middle or right-side attacking. Liberos will hone passing and defensive techniques. Cost of any position camp is $115.One-session camps for girls looking to become a better server will be held on July 16 and July 17. A middle-school day camp for girls entering the sixth through eighth grades will be held July 5-7. This day camp will focus on all fundamental volleyball skills including hitting, setting, defense, serving and passing. Team Camps available
