MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – All season long, sophomore Kevin Pomeroy has led the way for Wisconsin's divers.
 
As usual, Pomeroy made an impact early and often at the NCAA Zone D Championships, which wrapped up Wednesday.
 
The sophomore standout qualified for the 3-meter springboard and 10-meter platform finals. He finished 12th on platform with a total score of 641.70, and his total score of 685.50 on the 3-meter was good for 14th place.
 
Pomeroy had a great showing for a Wisconsin diving program that looks poised to take the next step.
 
The men's team had four divers compete in the 1-meter competition. Andrew Pearce led the way in that event, finishing 11th in the prelims with a score of 277.60.
 
Pearce was joined by freshman Brayden Schachle in 17th (251.00), Pomeroy in 18th (246.85) and Ethan O'Neill in 24th (221.40).
 
Pearce also qualified for the 3-meter final, placing 18th overall (632.65).
 
On the women's side, Hazel Hertting and Alex Hafey competed in both springboard events. In the 3-meter, Hertting finished 26th (274.95) and Hafey finished 28th (270.85). In the 1-meter, Hafey placed 33rd (234.65) and Hertting placed 35th (232.40).
 
Paige Richardson represented the Badgers on platform, scoring 168.05, good for 20th place.
