On her performance:
I'm happy with the results today. I had to battle through the entire thing. I knew that every girl there was talented and deserved to be there, so I had to have an impressive meet.Â
To medal at NCAAs is something that I don't think I can ever really wrap my head around. I always knew I was capable, but to go out there and actually execute is something that I will always be proud of. My confidence and mentality are on a different level this year, so I'm happy that it was able to show today.
On her fourth All-American honor:
I couldn't be happier to have this be my fourth time being an All-American. I've had a lot of help and support from team mates and coaches, which motivated me to score points and make them proud through each NCAA championships. Although this is a huge personal achievement, I certainly couldn't of done it without my team.
UW Director of Track and Field and Cross Country Mick Byrne
On Georgia Ellenwood's performance:
"Awesome job by Georgia in the pentathlon. Going into the final event, she was fifth, and it took a lifetime best of 2:14 to jump into third. Great athletes just find a way."
On Amy Davis and Alicia Monson in the 5K:
"This was Amy and Alicia's first time at indoor nationals and when you consider what it takes to get here, to finish 11th and 13th is respectable. I know they will both grow from this experience."
