MADISON, Wis. – The Badgers are back in action in Madison this weekend, as they are set to host their first outdoor meet of the season at the Wisconsin Twilight. The quad meet featuring UNI, ISU, and Marquette will take place at the McClimon Track and Field Complex on Friday. The field events will start at 2 p.m. and the running events are slated to begin at 5:45 p.m. Parking is available in Lot 60 and 76 for 10 dollars while parking will be free in those lots after 4:30 p.m.

1. DYNAMITE DMR: At last weekend's National Relay Championships in Fayetteville, Arkansas, Wisconsin walked away with a runner-up finish in the distance medley relay. The team of Joe Hardy, Ryan Dundun, Carl Hirsch, and Oliver Hoare ran a collective time of 9:35.19, which ranks No. 3 in program history. Wisconsin's DMR performance also earned them a No. 4 overall ranking by the USTFCCCA in the week's all-college top-10 list.

2. GUTHRIE SOARS: Senior Tim Guthrie put up a standout performance in the pole vault on Saturday, as he was the runner-up with a personal best clearance of 17 feet, 3/4 inches. Guthrie is just the 14th Badger to clear 17 feet in the outdoor pole vault. He also earned a spot in the rankings, as his mark is currently tied for No. 6 in the Big Ten Conference.

3. HURDLE KING: Just one week after earning a regional mark in the 400 hurdles in California, sophomore Ryan Dundun returned to the track in Fayetteville and beat his personal best yet again with a time of 52.00 seconds. Dundun's time currently ranks No. 7 in the Big Ten Conference, and earned him an eighth place finish in the event.

4. SENIOR SEND-OFF: The Wisconsin track and field team will recognize its seniors at this weekend's meet. Twenty-two student-athletes will be applauded for all of their accomplishments and impact that they've had while competing for the Cardinal and White.

5. BRING ON BIG TENS: Following the Wisconsin Twilight meet, the Badgers will gear up for championship season with the 2018 Big Ten Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Wisconsin will send athletes to Indiana University in Bloomington for the three-day championship meet May 11-13. The meet can be seen live on FloTrack.
