
Pickett and Rhodes named to MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List

Duo recognized as top players to watch in 2018
MADISON, Wis. – Wisconsin women's soccer players Victoria Pickett and Dani Rhodes are set to begin their 2018 campaign this evening but are already making a name for themselves after being named to the honorable MAC Hermann Trophy watch list, the organization announced Thursday.
The MAC Hermann Trophy, presented by World Wide Technology, is the most prestigious individual award in college soccer and is presented annually to the most outstanding male and female players of the year. This year's winners will be announced Friday, Jan. 4, 2019 at the Missouri Athletic Club in St. Louis.
Pickett, a senior from Ontario, started all 22 games for the Badgers during her senior season, scoring two goals with three assists. The midfielder ranked third on the team with 38 shots and scored the game-winning goal against conference foe Purdue. Pickett earned first team All-Big Ten and All-Midwest Region honors for her stellar season.
Rhodes led Wisconsin in goals, assists, points, and shots on goal during her sophomore campaign. The forward collected 11 goals and five assists and went two-for-three on penalty kicks. She also notched four game-winning goals in a row between Aug. 31 and Sept. 16. Rhodes was named to the All-Big Ten Second Team and Midwest All-Region First Team in 2017 and also earned Big Ten Co-Offensive Player of the Week and TopDrawer Soccer Offensive Player of the Week honors.
