MADISON, Wis. -- The Badgers are back at home Thursday night for a Border Battle redemption versus Minnesota on Thursday. Tip time is 7 p.m. from the Kohl Center.
1. LAST TIME OUT: It was a Sunday afternoon Big Ten showdown at the Kohl Center for the Badgers. Trailing 37-14 after the first quarter, the Badgers would outscore No. 25 Indiana in the remaining periods but could not overcome the early deficit, falling 75-68. Wisconsin cut the Indiana lead to eight (56-48) with 2:41 to go in the third and used a 10-1 late in the fourth quarter to pull UW within seven (72-65) with 44 seconds on the clock. The Hoosiers made 3-4 free throws over the final seconds to sel the win.
2. FAITHFUL FANS: Game attendance at Sunday's game versus Indiana was a season-high of 6,092 fans.
3. ALL-TIME HIGHS: Sophomore Niya Beverley scored a career-high 15 points, shooting 6-10 from the field, including 2-2 from 3-point range while redshirt senior Kelly Karlis tied her career-high by shooting a perfect 4-4 from the free-throw line. She also tied a season best with three blocks. Senior Marsha Howard shot a season-high 9-13 (.692) from the field while tying her season high with two blocks."I thought our crowd was phenomenal. Great excitement, great energy when we needed it. As a parent, I know I sure as heck would bring my kids back to watch that effort that our kids gave."

4. REBOUNDING MARSHA: Senior Marsha Howard has 10-or-more rebounds in her last three games, averaging 11.7 boards per game over the stretch. The 6-foot forward tied her career high with 15 rebounds at Penn State on Jan. 3 while adding 10 rebounds at Iowa on Jan. 7, and 10 boards against Indiana on Sunday.
5. SCOUTING THE GOPHERS: Less than a month ago, Wisconsin traveled to Minneapolis for the first Border Battle matchup against Minnesota with the Gophers taking the win, 74-56. Now, it is time for the Gophers to come play in the Kohl Center. Most recently, No. 23 Minnesota held an eight-point lead at halftime against No. 22 Iowa, but couldn't hang on in the second half in an 81-63 loss Monday night at Williams Arena. Minnesota has dropped its last four Big Ten games.
